singer D4vd arrested over teenage girl’s mu®der
Police in Los Angeles have arrested 21-year-old singer D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Her decomposed, dismembered remains were found inside a car registered to him. Burke is currently detained without bail as detectives investigate the 2024 disappearance and killing of the teen, who was last seen in Lake Elsinore, roughly 60 miles from LA. Authorities haven’t revealed any details about a potential link between the two.
In September, officers responded to reports of a bad smell from an impounded vehicle at a Hollywood tow yard. The car had been towed earlier after being left abandoned in the Hollywood Hills. The remains, identified as Hernandez’s, had been there for a long time, according to the LA medical examiner.
The investigation, which included a grand jury review, has lasted several months, with police noting Burke’s full cooperation. The case heads to prosecutors on Monday. The LA County District Attorney’s Office stated they would evaluate the evidence to decide on charges.
Burke’s attorneys maintain his innocence, emphasizing no indictment or formal complaint exists yet. They assert that evidence will prove he neither killed Hernandez nor contributed to her death.
