Real Housewives of Potomac Star Wendy Osefo and Husband Arrested on Fraud Charges

Real Housewives of Potomac Star Wendy Osefo and Husband Arrested on Fraud Charges

Posted on October 10, 2025

Wendy Osefo, known for her role on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Potomac, and her husband Eddie Osefo have been arrested in Westminster, Maryland, facing multiple fraud charges. The couple was booked on sixteen counts, including seven felony charges related to insurance fraud and conspiracy.

The charges stem from a reported burglary at their residence in April 2024. Wendy and Eddie claimed that luxury handbags and jewelry valued at approximately $450,000 were stolen while they were away in Jamaica. However, a thorough investigation by authorities uncovered evidence suggesting the couple filed false insurance claims. Some of the allegedly stolen items were bought back and returned for full refunds before the reported break-in, while social media posts showed Wendy wearing some of the claimed missing jewelry after the incident.

Among the charges, Wendy faces insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, and making a false statement to law enforcement. Eddie also faces similar allegations. Both were released on a $50,000 bond.

This arrest adds to a growing list of legal controversies involving cast members of The Real Housewives franchise, highlighting the ongoing scrutiny faced by personalities within the reality television world.
