South Africa: Woman shot de@d in suspected hit in Amanzimtoti

A woman was sh^t de@d in a suspected hit in Amanzimtoti, south of Durban, on Monday morning. 

According to ALS Paramedics, they responded to the shooting just before 7 am on Longacres Drive. 

“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find SAPS and Security Personnel already in attendance, with the area cornered off,” said spokesperson Garrith Jamieson. 

“Paramedics were shown to a vehicle where the driver, a female believed to be in her fifties, had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to her upper body.

“Paramedics assessed the patient; however, there was nothing paramedics could do for her, and she was declared deceased on the scene.”

Jamieson said at this stage, the events leading up to the shooting are unknown.
