Lil Nas X Pleads Not Guilty to Felony Charges After Los Angeles Arrest

Posted on August 26, 2025

Rapper Lil Nas X has pleaded not guilty to four felony charges, including battery against police officers, following an incident in Los Angeles. The charges stem from an altercation in which authorities allege the artist resisted arrest and assaulted officers after being found walking naked on a city street.

The Los Angeles Police Department reported that Lil Nas X faced three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. The incident occurred on Ventura Boulevard, where law enforcement confronted the rapper, who allegedly charged at the officers.

Following his arrest, Lil Nas X posted a $75,000 bail and was released from custody. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on September 15, 2025. If convicted, he could face up to five years in state prison.

The rapper has not admitted to any wrongdoing and continues to plead not guilty to all charges.
