In the interview, Reds said the woman she ended up grappling with had allegedly hurled racist and insulting remarks at her, including calling her the “biggest, fattest Black a** bitch” and a “gorilla,” all in front of a crowd.
Reds said she had reached her breaking point after being pulled off a lamp post and nearly having her pants and underwear yanked off. That was when, in her words, she decided, “I’ma meet you on the floor!”
The two women then exchanged blows, and according to Reds, the crowd appeared to be cheering her on — especially since she had started out on the lamp post.
In the end, Reds chose not to file a police report. After all, in her view, Knicks fans had already won where it mattered most. Street lamps and underwear can be replaced, but a Knicks title took 53 years.
