Jarrod Noll, 18, was charged with homicide and attempted homicide
An 18-year-old man from Pennsylvania faces homicide charges after allegedly shooting his parents in their home on December 26, killing his mother and wounding his father.
Police responded to the scene and rushed both victims to a hospital; the mother succumbed to her injuries, while the father recovered and was released in stable condition.
Authorities issued a manhunt for the suspect, identified as Noll, who fled on foot and was deemed armed and dangerous. “We used tracking dogs, helicopters, and police on foot searching rough terrain,” Pennsylvania State Police Sgt.
Richard Sizer told CBS Pittsburgh. He emphasized the threat: “When you have someone on the run with a homicide warrant and a gun, it’s a huge danger to the community.”
Noll was apprehended without incident on Saturday by West Virginia State Police. He remains in custody there pending extradition to Pennsylvania. His younger siblings were home during the incident but unharmed, as the shots were fired outside; they’ve been placed with a relative.
