3 men arrested over Chiba robbery also charged in Kanagawa case
Three men arrested for a violent January robbery in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture, now face charges for a February break-in in Kimitsu City, Chiba Prefecture, where they stole cash and a safe.
Police identified the suspects as Kai Miyagawa (35), Ryota Uchiyama (28), and Yusuke Daigo (27). They allegedly invaded a home, bound a 78-year-old man’s hands with tape, threatened him with a stun gun, and inflicted minor injuries before fleeing with 1.4 million yen plus a safe of commemorative coins.
A getaway car linked both crimes via matching registration, pointing to the same crew. Authorities suspect the trio was recruited through a secure messaging app for these targeted hits.
