Ben Affleck Buys 1940s Los Angeles Estate for $20.5 Million

Ben Affleck has just dropped $20.5 million on an equestrian estate in Los Angeles, a matter of weeks after staking a “for sale” sign in front of the home he owns with Jennifer Lopez amid rumors of marital strife.

The Academy Award-winning actor, 51, using a trust with his business manager listed as trustee, snapped up the five-bedroom residence last week, property records show. He bought it from David Calvert-Jones, the nephew of billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

Located on the border of Brentwood and Pacific Palisades, the house was built in 1941 by prolific California architect Cliff May, who is best known for developing the suburban, post-war “dream home.”

Set on nearly an acre, the walled and gated property has been “reimagined” in the decades since, according to the listing with Blair Chang of the Agency. The firm’s Santiago Arana represented Affleck. Both agents, through a representative, declined to comment on the deal.  visit MG
