Chelsea Handler Says She’s Been Dating Someone New and Declares ‘I Like Having Sex with’ Him

It’s possible that Chelsea Handler will meet someone new!

The 50-year-old comedian and author provides fans with an update on her dating life and confirms she has a new partner in an exclusive preview of her appearance on the March 4 episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show provided by PEOPLE.

“I have someone that I’m seeing now that I’m very attracted to and that I like having sex with, and so that’s a really good like nice little thing I have going,” she says.

When host Jamie Kern Lima asks if her relationship was “serious,” she confesses, “I don’t think any relationships that I’ve been in [have been] serious,” noting that she didn’t consider herself a “relationship person.”

“I think of myself as a purpose person,” Handler explains. “Like my purpose is here, to be here to have conversations like the one we’re having right now, to infuse people with optimism, to be there for women, that is my purpose in this life, whether they’re more lives or not.”

She adds, “All I know is I know what I’m supposed to be doing, and any man that’s in my life is not the main character. That’s a side relationship, and I love them, and I want to respect everybody, but that’s not my main M.O. in life. I’m not that kind of person.”

Still, she and her mystery beau have been dating for a substantial amount of time. Handler reveals that she and her current partner have been involved for “nine months.”

Shortly after she was seen standing arm in arm with Ralph Fiennes outside this year’s Vanity Fair Oscars party on March 2, the pre-recorded episode starring the Chelsea Handler Show alum was released.

As they left the party together, the unlikely pair seemed to be laughing and chatting. The Best Actor Oscar nominee stayed true to the classics with a wide-lapeled black suit and matching bowtie, while Handler wore a metallic silver strapless gown and gold pointed-toe pumps.
