Japan: A 17-year-old male was detained for molesting a junior high school girl and exposing himself.

A 17-year-old high school guy was detained by Osaka police on suspicion of engaging in lewd behavior after he touched a junior high school girl’s breast and exposed his lower body.

Police said the assault happened in the hallway outside the girl’s Sumiyoshi Ward residence in mid-October while she was returning home from school, according to Sankei Shimbun.

According to the police, the youngster informed them he was waiting for the girl to return home while hiding in the building. He undressed and bared himself to the girl as she stepped into the corridor, then rubbed her breasts.

The girl broke free and called out for her mother who contacted police. The boy was identified after an analysis of the apartment buildings surveillance camera footage.

Police said the boy has admitted to the allegation and quoted him as saying he did it to satisfy his sexual desire.

Several similar incidents have been reported in the same area, and police are questioning the boy about those cases.
