Tomoko Kaneda and Wataru Mori divorced. On the day the announcement was made, the two appeared live on 27-Hour Television.
On the 20th, voice actress Tomoko Kaneda (age 51) and actor Wataru Mori (age 41) declared their divorce on their own blogs.
They stated, “We recently dissolved our marriage and have decided to continue our family life, but no longer be a married couple on the family register.” Upon being questioned about the reason, Kaneda admitted, “Before I knew it, I had started to feel pressured into ‘chasing my dreams,'” exposing the guilt and tension he had in assisting his family in pursuing their goals. “Once we are no longer in a marriage, I can support them from the bottom of my heart, not out of a sense of responsibility,” he said.
The couple were married in 2013 and had their first child, a 7-year-old, in 2017. Along with portraying a loving pair on television, Kaneda is well-known for her lively appearances in variety shows. As an athletic actor, Mori frequently appears on sports variety shows. His Olympic goal is to compete in the modern pentathlon.
