Singer D4vd Named Suspect in Death of Missing Teen Found in His Impounded Tesla
David Anthony Burke, professionally known as D4vd, has officially been identified as a suspect in the ongoing investigation into the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The decomposed remains of the teenager were discovered in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to the singer after the vehicle was impounded in Los Angeles in September.
Celeste had been reported missing multiple times throughout 2024 from her hometown of Lake Elsinore, California. Authorities believe she likely died in the spring of 2025, although the exact cause and manner of death remain under investigation. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has described the case as a homicide inquiry and is closely examining every aspect to uncover the truth.
The investigation has revealed that D4vd has not been cooperative with police inquiries, despite a statement from his representatives indicating he is fully cooperating. Detectives believe more than one person may have been involved in the dismemberment and disposal of Celeste’s body
Over recent months, law enforcement has conducted multiple searches, including at a Hollywood Hills residence where Burke had stayed, collecting digital devices and other potential evidence. The ongoing probe has led to the cancellation of the remainder of D4vd’s tour dates in the U.S. and Europe.
Authorities emphasize that no charges have yet been filed, and no arrests have been made as the investigation continues. The LAPD’s robbery-homicide division is pursuing all leads to seek justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez and her family.
Further forensic analysis, including toxicology reports, is awaited to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding this tragic case.
