Rising Star D4vd Transfers Texas Homes to Mother Amid Investigation into Teen’s Death

Houston, TX — Rising music star D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, has transferred ownership of two Texas homes to his mother as authorities continue investigating the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas. The young girl’s decomposing remains were found in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd, sparking a major police investigation and widespread media attention.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the properties, previously held under a trust in D4vd’s name, were signed over on September 18 and September 22. These transfers came just days after police executed a search warrant at a Los Angeles rental home where the singer had been living.

Adding to the tense situation, D4vd’s family reported a swatting incident on September 18 at one of the Texas homes, where police responded to a false report of a shooting. D4vd’s parents and siblings were reportedly inside the home at the time and unharmed.

Authorities have described the investigation into Celeste Rivas’s death as “shocking.” Rivas, reported missing in early 2024, was believed to have been deceased for several weeks before her body was discovered. D4vd has not been publicly named a suspect and has cooperated with investigators.

Since the incident, D4vd has canceled the remainder of his Withered World Tour and postponed his album release. Brands such as Crocs and Hollister have removed him from their campaigns amid the ongoing investigation.

No charges have been filed against D4vd at this time, and his legal team has yet to release a statement. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances around Celeste Rivas’s death and D4vd’s connection to the case.
