Nick Cannon Rejects Two-Party System, Calls Democrats “Party of the KKK”

Nick Cannon stirred controversy on a recent episode of his podcast “Big Drive” by taking aim at both major American political parties, with Amber Rose as his guest.

Cannon drew on historical arguments to characterize the Democratic Party as rooted in racial hatred, pointing to its documented ties to the Ku Klux Klan in earlier American history. He also acknowledged the Republican Party’s more favorable record on racial equality, noting that Abraham Lincoln’s GOP was instrumental in abolishing slavery — though this did not translate into an endorsement of today’s Republican Party.

Rather than picking a side, Cannon positioned himself outside the traditional political binary altogether. He invoked the legacy of scholar and civil rights leader W. E. B. Du Bois, echoing Du Bois’s well-known skepticism toward a political landscape dominated by just two parties.

Cannon framed his stance as one of political independence, rejecting rigid party labels. He did, however, offer some favorable remarks about Donald Trump — a notable softening from his earlier, more critical positions — though he stopped well short of declaring any formal allegiance.
