Iran’s new leader is ‘puppet of Revolutionary Guards’ – Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu labeled Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, a “puppet of the Revolutionary Guards”—Tehran’s elite force driving its attacks.
Speaking at a late Thursday press conference, he claimed the cleric “cannot show his face in public.”Mojtaba, son of the slain supreme leader Ali Khamenei, was reportedly wounded in an Israeli strike inside Iran.
Netanyahu hinted at more potential assassinations, joking he wouldn’t “take out life insurance” for Israel’s enemies. He suggested Israel’s strikes could pave the way for overthrowing Iran’s Islamic Republic, though he stressed it hinges on the Iranian people.Addressing them directly, he said: “
The moment when you can walk out into freedom is drawing ever closer.”He reaffirmed that the nearly two-week-old war, launched with the United States, aims to deliver “lethal blows” to Iran’s nuclear and missile programs, preventing leaders from concealing them in underground sites.
