FBI Releases Person of Interest Images, Offers $100K Reward in Fatal Shooting of Charlie Kirk
Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was tragically shot and killed on September 10, 2025, during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Kirk, 31, was hosting a large outdoor debate called “Prove Me Wrong” as part of his “American Comeback Tour” when a single shot was fired, striking him in the neck. The incident caused panic among attendees, and Kirk was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
The FBI has released images of a “person of interest,” described as a college-aged male wearing dark clothing, black sunglasses, and a baseball cap, captured on surveillance near the scene. Authorities have located a high-powered bolt-action rifle believed to be the weapon used in the attack, found in nearby woods, along with ammunition marked with slogans referencing transgender and antifascist themes
A manhunt is underway with no arrests made so far, and the FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and apprehension of the suspect. Two individuals initially detained have been released, with no current links to the shooting.
