25-Year-Old Barcelona Woman Chooses Euthanasia After Paraplegia and Chronic Pain

Noelia Castillo Ramos, a 25-year-old from Barcelona, is set to undergo euthanasia on Thursday to end her life amid unrelenting suffering. In her final interview on Antena 3’s Y Ahora Sonsoles with journalist Bea Osa, she explained her choice for medically assisted suicide, emphasizing relief at being able to proceed but urging others not to follow her path.

According to Marca, Noelia’s decision stems from a past suicide attempt jumping from a fifth-floor building following an alleged sexual assault which left her paraplegic and in constant chronic pain. While her mother disagrees but plans to stay by her side, her father reportedly does not share that support.
