Meteorologist Dylan Dreyer Announces Separation from Husband Brian Fichera After 12 Years of Marriage
Dylan Dreyer, co-host of NBC’s “Today” show, has announced that she and her husband, Brian Fichera, have separated after nearly 13 years of marriage. The couple, who tied the knot in October 2012, shares three sons: Calvin (8), Oliver (5), and Russell “Rusty” (3).
Dreyer revealed the news in a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday, stating, “For many years, I have shared my family with all of you — the highs and lows, the ups and downs, and all the blessings and beautiful memories in between.” She expressed deep gratitude for the support from fans over the years and confirmed that she and Fichera made the decision to separate a few months ago. Emphasizing their enduring bond, Dreyer said, “We started as friends, and we will continue to be the closest of friends. Most importantly, we co-parent our three amazing boys with nothing but love and respect for one another.
Despite their separation, sources report that Dreyer and Fichera remain amicable, are still living under the same roof, and are committed to raising their children together. There are currently no plans for divorce as both focus on family stability. Fichera, a freelance cameraman, is reportedly taking time off work to prioritize family matters.
In recent public appearances, Dreyer has notably appeared without her wedding ring. The couple was seen together just days before the announcement at the American Century Championship golf event in Lake Tahoe, where Fichera served as Dreyer’s caddy. They even participated as a team in a celebrity karaoke contest, highlighting the continued amicability of their relationship.
Dreyer and Fichera originally met while working at a Boston news station and share a long history both professionally and personally. Their announcement underscores a mature and respectful approach to change, focusing on friendship and co-parenting above all else.
