Following a hateful outburst, Kanye West’s X account goes dark.

After Kanye West’s days-long tirade on X, which included hateful, anti-Semitic outbursts, his account was deactivated.

It was unclear at first whether X removed the account or the artist and businessman, who legally changed his name to Ye, deactivated it himself.

“I’m leaving Twitter now. Thank you for letting me vent, Elon. “Using the world as a sounding board has been very cathartic,” he wrote in his last post, alluding to Elon Musk, the owner of X.

For 47-year-old Ye, who now makes headlines for his controversial and frequently hateful outbursts as much as for his music, it’s a familiar pattern.

The rapper has previously been blocked from social media sites, most notably X, where he was banned for almost eight months for breaking the rule against inciting violence.

Ye’s most recent letters contained remarks endorsing music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is incarcerated on charges of sex trafficking. Several times, he called himself a “Nazi.”

He also mentioned the stunt he and his wife, Bianca Censori, performed at the Grammys last week, where they walked the red carpet practically nude before the awards ceremony.

A request for comment from X was not immediately answered.

For years, Ye has spoken openly about struggles with bipolar disorder. He recently said on “The Download” podcast that he in fact has an autism diagnosis.
