Jamie Foxx discloses that he suffered a stroke and a brain bleed: “I went to hell and back”
Jamie Foxx’s 2023 near-death experience is finally being discussed in his new comedy special, “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was.”
While filming a movie in Atlanta in April 2023, Foxx ended up in the hospital. On social media at the time, his daughter Corinne reported that the comedian had “experienced a medical complication.” Fox later claimed that his life was saved by his sister Diedra Dixon, his daughter, and the medical personnel. He claimed that after the unidentified scare, he was unable to recall almost three weeks of his life.
Foxx stated in his most recent special, which was recently made available on Netflix,
Foxx said that he had experienced a brain bleed that led to a stroke. He said he was in a coma for 20 days, and his condition was so grave that his family traveled to be by his bedside, even as they worked to keep details of his condition private.
“I went to hell and back,” Foxx said.
