Jenn An, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, is suing Kanye West for allegedly abusing her during the 2010 music video shoot by strangling her and jamming his fingers down her neck.
The model accused the 47-year-old rapper of staging “his own production” by requesting a camera crew to record him strangling her while filming the music video for La Roux’s song “In for the Kill,” which included West on a remix, in a complaint filed in federal court in New York on Friday, Nov. 22.
According to the lawsuit, which Rolling Stone, Page Six, and TheWrap were able to get, An was working as a background actor for the video in September 2010 at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City while wearing just “revealing lingerie: when West pointed her out to the crew and said, ‘Give me the Asian girl.’ ”
An claimed that she told West, “I’m not wearing very much,” He allegedly replied, “That’s why I chose you,” and she recalled him ordering the other background actors to leave the room.
According to the lawsuit, which was reported by Rolling Stone, “on camera, defendant West began to choke plaintiff with one hand, then wrapped his other hand around her neck and continued to strangle her with both hands.” He then rammed several fingers down her throat, continuously moved them in and out, and gagged her” for more than a minute.
