After defeating Chidinma and other contestants ,Victoria Kjaer Theilvig won Miss Universe, becomes first competitor from Denmark to win competition
Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer Theilvig has won the title of Miss Universe.
At the conclusion of the competition’s 73rd season in Mexico City, Kjaer, an animal protectionist who works in the diamond sales industry, defeated Miss Nigeria. Third place went to Miss Mexico.
This is the first time Miss Universe has been won by a contestant from Denmark.
The contest posted a video of the victory moment on social media along with the caption, “We can’t wait to see the incredible impact she’ll make as our new Miss Universe.” “Congratulations Victoria Kjaer Miss Universe 2024.”
The Mexico City Arena, a 20,000-seat indoor facility, served as the pageant’s location. Inside, supporters yelled and waved flags from many nations.
“Mexicana,” a song composed by Emilio Estefan specifically for the competition, was played by 131 mariachi musicians and vocalist Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas to start the program.
Mario Lopez, Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, presenter Zuri Hall, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray presented the gala.
There were about 120 competitors, according to the organizers.
Some nations, including Belarus, Eritrea, Guinea, Macau, Maldives, Moldova, and Uzbekistan, were represented for the first time this year.
