Nigeria: Precious who visited a man she met on a dating site was discovered dead.

Precious Yusuf, a 23-year-old lady who met a male acquaintance she met on the dating app iHappy, was discovered dead along the DLA Road in Asaba, the capital of Delta State.

Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for the Delta State Police, said in a statement on Saturday that the police were notified after Precious’ body was found on the road on Thursday.

Her corpse was found at the spot, and an initial inquiry was carried out to determine who she was.

Precious told her friend on Tuesday that she was going to visit a man she met on the dating site, the PPRO said after the inquiry.

According to the friend, the last time she was heard from before her corpse was found was on Wednesday, when Precious phoned to let her know she was going home.

“On October 22, 2024, she informed her friend that she was going to see a male friend she met on the iHappy dating website,” Edafe said, citing preliminary findings. On October 22, she went out of the home to meet the young man at Coka.

“She called her friend at around 7:30 on October 23 to let them know she was heading home, but that was regrettably the last time she spoke to them. Her body was discovered the following day.”
