Mel Gibson endorses Donald Trump in sexist rant against Kamala Harris
Mel Gibson disproved Andrew Garfield’s praise for his “beautiful healing with himself” a few days later when he publicly backed Donald Trump and insulted Kamala Harris with sexist remarks.
Since the success of his movie Hacksaw Ridge, in which Garfield plays pacifist combat medic Desmond Doss, Gibson has been making a resurgence in Hollywood. Garfield recently come out in favor of Gibson because of their professional connection. He said that Gibson should be given another opportunity and that he had evolved during his We Live in Time publicity tour. Given Gibson’s past, it was a daring assertion to make.
“I don’t think it’s going to surprise anyone who I’m voting for,” he said arrogantly. He’s right that it’s not shocking that he’s supporting the convicted criminal for president given his past.
Gibson verified the interviewer’s belief that he was voting for Trump. Next, Gibson was questioned about his expectations for a second term under Trump. But he couldn’t help but criticize Harris, so he shifted the topic to what he believed a phrase including “her” would sound like.
The fact that he was unable to come up with a single idea on what a Trump presidency would entail and was forced to make unfounded accusations against Harris speaks much about him. He really shouldn’t be discussing “track records” given that she was pursuing a career as a senator and attorney general while he was being jailed for DUIs, facing restraining orders due to allegations of domestic abuse, and ranting about racism and homophobia.
It is his candidate who has devoted his campaign to discussing penises, dancing to music while performing, and claiming to be “no cognitive.” Gibson, however, believes Harris has the “IQ of a fence post.” How likely is it that he believes this only because she is a woman? Gibson is the only one who believes it.
