Megan Thee Stallion Energizes Kamala Harris’ Atlanta Rally
On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, Megan Thee Stallion gave a performance at Vice President Kamala Harris’s inaugural presidential campaign event in Atlanta, Georgia. At the Georgia State Convocation Center, the Grammy-winning rapper performed family-friendly renditions of her popular hits, including “Girls in the Hood,” “Mamushi,” “Body,” and “Savage.”
Megan encouraged the audience to support Harris throughout her performance, stating, “Now that I know my ladies in the crowd love their bodies.” You know who to vote for if you wish to continue appreciating your bodies.” She said, “Atlanta, I’m so glad to be here! The first female president is going to make history. The first female Black president! Let’s finish this up!”
Harris is trying to keep Georgia, a battleground state, in the running for the 2024 presidential election, which is why Megan is attending the event. Although President Biden barely prevailed in Georgia in 2020, he eventually withdrew from the campaign after giving a dismal debate performance against Trump in Atlanta in June 2024.
Democrats are counting on a new wave of enthusiasm and money to help Harris win the state of Georgia now that Biden is out of the picture. 24 offices have been launched by the Harris campaign throughout Georgia; two of them were added last weekend in the metro Atlanta area.
Other notable figures at the rally included Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, Mayor Andre Dickens, Rep. Nikema Williams, former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, and rapper Quavo who gave remarks about Harris’ commitment to tackling gun violence
