Joe Burrow, an NFL star, surprises Eminem fans with a transformation reminiscent to Slim Shady.
On July 23, the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals made his hair debut. He had a bleached blonde buzzcut that made him look almost unrecognisable; some fans even said he looked more like Eminem.
However, that comparison was not made up. The rapper’s song “Just Lose It” was referenced by the Bengals’ official account, which was the first to do so. Joe, 27, was seen sporting his new hairstyle with a hot pink t-shirt, floral-patterned shorts, and sandals.
The team jokingly captioned their Instagram image from July 23 with, “Guess who’s back.”
Furthermore, fans weren’t just in agreement with Eminem and Joe’s moment of twinning. Some even created their own Slim Shady references by utilising Joe Sheisty, one of the NFL star’s nicknames.
“Shiesty is back.Tell a buddy,” wrote one person in a comment on the post, while “SLIM SHEISTY” was added by another.
“I just can’t…” one user mourned. “@joeyb_9 we need your hair back!”
As for Joe? He’s just excited to be showing more sides of his personality with the world as of late.
“I’m a pretty private person, and so I try to keep as much as I can to myself,” the athlete explained during an interview at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in June. “But I’m starting to branch out a little bit and get a little more comfortable sharing other parts of my personality.”
